  March 2020
  • Notice

As you very well know, our community, state, and nation are having to take necessary precautionary measures to ensure the safety of the public. Our church leadership is mindful of the counsel given by medical professionals, government officials, and our episcopal leadership. With that being said, we are canceling all programing (including worship) for March 22 and March 29. We will revisit the need for future cancelation again around this time next week. Pastor Cameron is available by phone for any concerns or questions.

Check here on Sunday Morning around 11, if it is possible, there might be a form of devotion/sermon made available to you.

This is high time for us to be the church for those who are vulnerable. Be mindful of neighbors who might need help and practice hospitality by making a phone call to check on those who might not be able to get things with ease.

Check back here next week for more information about changes to scheduling. Above all else, holdfast, Jesus is risen and darkness will not end the day.

  • 225th Anniversary Celebration

Our first “celebration day" will be held on Sunday, March 29 during the morning worship. We will have a “song service” with a hymn sing time for all to enjoy. The congregation is encouraged to dress in time period clothing from the late 1700s. (think Little House on the Prairie)

  • Confirmation Classes

Confirmation classes continue on Sundays at 2PM during the month of March.  Confirmation class members will join the church on Sunday, April 5.

  • Church Directory Update

As part of our 225th anniversary celebration, work is beginning on compiling a church yearbook with addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses for all members. This will help insure that we have the most up-to-date information for our congregation so that we can get in touch with everyone in case of emergencies, etc. It will also aid us in updating our membership roster.  Please click here to download the form.  Instructions for completing returning the form are enclosed.  All forms should be returned as soon as possible.  Thank you!

  • Pomaria Food Bank

We continue to collect items for the Pomaria Food Bank.  Please consider picking up a few extra items when you're out doing your grocery shopping.  Our continued support of this ministry is greatly appreciated.  All donations can be placed in the purple tub in the vestibule of the church.

  • Backpack Ministry

We have teamed up with Morris Chapel Southern Methodist Church in support of their "Back Pack" Ministry for students in need at Pomaria-Garmany Elementary School.  This helps to ensure that children in need have food over the weekend.  For the month of March, we are collecting invidual boxes of raisins collecting and small individual boxes of cereal.
