Church Directory Update
As part of our 225th anniversary celebration, work is beginning on compiling a church yearbook with addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses for all members. This will help insure that we have the most up-to-date information for our congregation so that we can get in touch with everyone in case of emergencies, etc. It will also aid us in updating our membership roster. Please click here to download the form. Instructions for completing returning the form are enclosed. All forms should be returned as soon as possible. Thank you!
Pomaria Food Bank
We continue to collect items for the Pomaria Food Bank. Please consider picking up a few extra items when you're out doing your grocery shopping. Our continued support of this ministry is greatly appreciated. Since we are currently not meeting for church, you may drop your goods off in the donation box at the Pomaria Food Bank located at 110 Victoria Street in Pomaria behind Wilson's Grocery.
Backpack Ministry
We have teamed up with Morris Chapel Southern Methodist Church in support of their "Back Pack" Ministry for students in need at Pomaria-Garmany Elementary School. This helps to ensure that children in need have food over the weekend. We will resume helping with this ministry at the beginning of the new school year.
225th Anniversary Celebration
Pomaria Reunion Parade - Saturday, May 16
- This event has been cancelled. We hope to be able to participate in the Little Mountain Reunion parade in early August and a Christmas Parade in December.
Pictures from our Past
- Anyone who has pictures of events like VBS, Golden-Agers, Christmas programs, weddings, baptismals, confirmations, etc.... please consider sharing them for a special display we’re putting together for Golden Agers Sunday at the end of May. Please label your pictures and turn them into Judy Amick by May 10th. All pictures will be returned. This will be a great way to glimpse back at part of our history.
225 Hours of Community Service and Outreach
- We are encouraging members of the congregation to reach out and provide services to others during the year. Our goal is to reach 225 hours of combined outreach hours. Please record any hours that you spend volunteering to provide for others and we will record our progress on the “thermometer” board in the breezeway. Updates will be given regularly.
Hymn Sing/Dress in Period Clothing Service
- Don’t put away those “costumes” yet! This service was scheduled for March – we will have this service at a later date as soon as we are able to meet again and make plans.
